Hi I'm Burke

I am a soon-to-be dad of a little girl, I am the husband of an amazing wife, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent MBA graduate with a job in sales. I am a soon-to-be dad with a little girl on the way! I love to play the guitar on my free time and I love anything to do with the outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have found everything in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to be true. I have put it all to the test (whether the Book of Mormon is true, if God answers prayers, if the gospel was restored, if I am happier when I keep the commandments, etc.) and I came to know for myself that it was true. That is what I love most about being a "Mormon", that each individual is required to find things out for themselves. Though I was born into the faith, I had to eventually find out for myself if what I was being taught was actually real and not some fantastic made-up story. I had to go to the ultimate source, our Heavenly Father, for the answers. Through much study and effort on my part, and a strong desire to actually know if the Book of Mormon was true, I was blessed with a calm assurance that it was true and that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that he is the Son of God who was sent to Earth to save us from sin and death. I know that God continues to speak to us today and that we have apostles and prophets who lead and guide us just as in times when Jesus walked the Earth. This is only the beginning of why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I teach a Sunday School class each Sunday to a small group of people. We discuss basic gospel principles and share personal examples of faith. I am a home teacher, which means I have about 3 separate households from our congregation that I visit each month to share a short gospel message and offer any assistance that they may need.
