Hi I'm Bethany

I'm a wife, a mother of 3 and have a passion for dance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful man who loves me and our 3 fabulous sons. I have an 9 year old, a 5 year old and a 16 month old. Being a wife and a mom isn't always easy, but it is truly the highlight of who I am. I am also a Dance Instructor. I am a certified dance teacher through the Dance Masters of America. I owned my own Dance Studio for 11 years and currently teach Ballet, Jazz and Tap. I've loved the art of dance for as long as I can remember. It enables me to express my feelings through movement instead of with words. I've had the chance to meet and take dance classes with many well known dancers and choreographers.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all of my life. I was taught the principles of the gospel at a young age by great parents who are also Mormon. For a long time, as children do, I believed as they did. I solely relied on them for a testimony. There came a point in my life, however, when I needed answers for myself. I needed to know for myself that the Gospel was true and that this was God's true Church on this earth. During high school, I went to an early morning scripture study class. I loved being a part of this class. It was a great way to start my day. I really learned a lot about the scriptures and about Jesus Christ. Through this daily scripture study, I really felt like I began to have a sincere and personal relationship with my Heavenly Father. Little by little, the seed that had been planted by my parents, began to grow. Now, as an adult with a family of my own, I have a deep rooted knowledge of my Savior. One that I strive to instill within my children as well. The choice that I have made to be a Mormon is my own. It's a choice that I do not take lightly. It's also a choice that fills me with more joy and happiness than I can explain in words. In the Bible it says to "Knock and it shall be opened...Seek and ye shall find". I have and will continue to do a lot of knocking and seeking. I've received unmistakable answers through prayer and scripture study that this church provides the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What a special blessing of knowledge this is for me!

How I live my faith

For many years, I've worked with the children at church. What a wonderful opportunity it is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the children. They are so eager to learn and are such great examples of faith to me. I particularly love to hear them sing songs about the Savior. I always feel the spirit when I listen to them sing. I truly enjoy serving in this capacity. I have also been volunteering and working with the Cub Scouts. My son is now a Cub Scout and my husband serves as the Cub Master so our whole family is now involved in the Scouting Program. I know it will be fun for our family and we will have lots of new and exciting experiences as we participate in Scouts. I have two more boys that will be of scouting age soon enough, so this will be a part of our lives for many years to come.   Recently, I've had the chance to serve and work with all the women over 18 years old at church. It's been such a blessing to me. Although I love my husband and 3 sons with all my heart and wouldn't trade them for anything, it's nice to take some time serving and visiting wonderful women whom I can connect with. I've made some new friends and feel very welcomed and loved.
