Hi I'm Lance

I live in the United States. I am married and have 7 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family consisting of 3 children. I was the only son between 2 sisters. I am married and a father of 7 wonderful children who love their mother. I work in the health care industry and am involved in coaching youth basketball and football. My family is active in sports and we enjoy camping, fishing, and various other activities. We enjoy spending time together.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love how it makes me feel, think, and act. The gospel helps me know and understand the love our Father in Heaven and Savior, Jesus Christ have for me, my family, and all of God's children. It teaches me of the reality of a plan of happiness with the atonement of Jesus Christ being central to that great plan. It brings to light the sacred mission of Jesus Christ in this great eternal plan. I know that Jesus Christ is the great Jehovah, the Creator, the Savior, and Redeemer of the world. He is who he says he is. He is who the prophets, both ancient and modern have taught and testified. I am thankful for the testimonies of prophets in the Bible, Book of Mormon, and modern day that have and continue to help me know Jesus Christ and develop a personal relationship with him. As I have studied the Book of Mormon and have come to know of its truthfulness, I have come to know my Savior Jesus Christ, I have come to know that Joseph Smith truly was a man called of God to serve a mission of restoring the gospel of Jesus Christ and bringing forth eternal truths of which all mankind can benefit. Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and Thomas S. Monson is a prophet on the earth today. There are prophets and apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ on the earth today for which I am thankful. The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches of the eternal nature of the family. I know that families are meant to be together forever and there is a way for us to make that a reality. The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches me truths of where I came from, why I am here, and what happens following death. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, because of multiple spiritual experiences that have confirmed the truths of which I have shared here.

How I live my faith

It is my faith, beliefs, values, and covenants that direct how I live my life. I strive to live my life following the teachings of Jesus Christ. When he was asked what was the greatest commandment in the law, he responded with the great answer love the Lord thy God and love thy neighbor. As I go through my day to day activities, I think of this teaching and many other of his teachings taught to me in the Bible and The Book of Mormon and other teachings through his Prophets. Learning and applying his teachings received by his mouth, his perfect example, and by the mouths of his holy Prophets, I am able to better interact with my family, friends, neighbors, work associates, and others with whom I may have contact. I better interact with love, patience, kindness, compassion, thoughtful sensitivity, integrity, etc.. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me understand that we are all children of our Father in Heaven and it is my responsibility to help each person, that I can, experience the greatest peace, joy, and happiness through this sojourn we call mortality and throughout eternity. The gospel helps me focus on that which is of greatest importance such as good healthy relationships with family, friends, and all of God's children. My faith in things of an eternal nature direct how I think, feel, and interact with everyone.  At the end of each day as I communicate with Heavenly Father, I evaluate the happenings and feelings of the day. His Holy Spirit communicates to my heart and mind things I did well and things I could have done better. At that time I seek forgiveness and re-commit to living the teachings of Jesus Christ the next day.
