Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church, but when I was a little girl, my parents asked me why I wanted to be Baptized a member? I told them, that I wanted to have the Gift of the Holy Ghost during my life. I also knew the church was true, but when I was asked to take the challenge of Moroni's Challenge to pray and ponder to find out if the Book of Mormon was true... Moroni 103-5 I prayed with a open heart and that night, in the MTCmission Training Center on my knees.. I know again it was a strong reminder that there was a God.. who loved me and wanted me to share what I knew with the world. I love the principles and the doctrine the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints teaches. I have seen it change many lives for the better.. because it has made mine so blessed.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the actions that I do daily. I try my best to be Christ-like by doing my best to be a good example to those around me. I love do service for others as well. when I do these things, it helps me feel my Saviors love for me. It builds me up and helps me remember that we are all children of God. This is one example how i live my faith!

Who was Joseph Smith?

Susie Harris
He was a young boy of 14 years that was looking for truth. He was a religious young boy and wanted to find truth. He studied and prayed for a while. He asked his parents for advise and others that he looked up towards for help, but they told him that he needed to find out for himself. One spring morning, he wanted to pray to God to see which church he should join, he went into a grove of trees and went to his knees to his Lord. When he was praying, he saw two personages and they told him not to join any churches, to restore Heavenly Fathers church on the earth again. The personages were Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. From then on, Joseph Smith continued to organized the church again on the earth and now we are the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that he saw God and Jesus Christ. They told him to restore the full truth back upon the earth again. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Susie Harris
There are many ways for me that help me know that my Heavenly Father lives and loves me. He knows me and how I know this is that he sent me to live with the family that I have. I have understanding and loving parents that taught me the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I also know by how beautiful and simple this Earth is; from the seas to land, from the flowers, trees, to the sunsets and sunrises. I know He lives and loves us. Show more Show less
