Hi I'm Stacy Talbot

I don't have a hometown, but everywhere I have lived I have felt at home in the Church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a typical Mormon, 20-something girl. I love impromptu dance parties and college football. I speak Spanish and I have what I call a "Founding Father Crush" on James Madison. Life can be pretty crazy at times, but I count on my friends to help me unwind. At this time in my life when I find myself making a lot of big life decisions, I am so glad I have the gospel of Jesus Christ to give me direction.

Why I am a Mormon

As a teenager I started to take it upon myself to seek out my own personal relationship with God. I started reading the Book of Mormon every day and I prayed for myself to know if it was true. Now I can't imagine my life without daily prayer and scripture study. It is how I feel God's spirit in my life. I believe in personal revelation, and for me, God speaks to me through His scriptures. It is while reading the scriptures that I learn from the example of prophets of old and receive promptings that are specific for what I am needing at that time in my life. Sometimes I get so confused about what I should be doing with my life, it makes me want to do everything possible to be worthy of receiving added light and knowledge in my life. Following the teachings of ancient as well as modern living prophets has never led me astray.

How I live my faith

I am a very active member in my local young single adult LDS ward. I have been assigned to be the president of our branch of the women's organization called Relief Society. I do my best to make sure the spiritual and physical needs are met for all the girls under my jurisdiction. This particular calling is a lot of work, but I have loved working closely with and serving my fellow young single adult women. I have felt the Lord help me accomplish all that I have needed to do to fulfill my duties while still being able to take care of all of my other responsibilities outside of the church. I have made some really great friends and learned a lot from the example of others. I know that God loves His daughters here on earth.
