Hi I'm Scott R

I am a wireless digital comms eng, published 2 books, hold 19 patents, teach seminars, play guitar, banjo, mandolin & I AM A MORMON.

About Me

I am married to a beautiful wife, raised 5 kids, who are the greatest and a joy in my life. I love music, I play guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass, harmonica, and whatever I can get my hands on. I have published 3 albums and I synthesize backup music and put on non-profit Christmas programs for the church. I love flying remote control helicopters, playing golf, and hanging out with the family. I also love to teach engineering seminars and courses on wireless communications, networking,Radar and new emerging technologies.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the teachings that I can be with my family together forever, which means everything to me. I am married for time and all eternity, which means I can be with my wife forever, it doesn't end with this life. It all makes sense and is so true, and I don't have to give up my scientific principles because they tie in beautifully with the teachings of the church. God has not forgotten us, he continues to speak to his prophets in our day as he did anciently, and it helps to prevent so much confusion in the world, so many different interpretations of the Bible, and so many churches. I am greatful for for the Atonement of our Savior, and his example, and his teachings in the Bible and Book of Mormon, so that we can continue to progress, be forgiven of our mistakes. It gives me purpose of life and provides a opportunity of living again with our Heavenly Father. It gives me hope for eternal life, comfort from afflictions, and is focused and based on my family and being together with my wife and family forever. It doesn't get any better than that.

How I live my faith

I have done volunteer work at the Washington DC and San Diego Temples which has brought me so much joy to help others, it never feels like work and I am so happy when I work in the temple, it is a very special opportunity and a beautiful place to be. I have volunteered and worked in many capacities in the church since there is not paid ministry and it brings me great joy to serve others. I am very active in the church, it brings to me and my family such joy, to participate in taking the sacrament every week and to remember our Savior and what he has done for us, and his great atonement for us.
