Hi I'm Nicholas

God's the superhero to our world. I'm just his sidekick-helping him out. You can too, just look up-for the Bat signal.

About Me

I'm a husband and a father of three boys. I have been a member of the church for four years in April/2011. My passion in life, other than my faith and family, is writing. I write creatively, and I write musically. I'm a huge movie buff and I collect comic books as well. Currently, I'm teaching myself how to play the guitar. I also have been working on my family history and have found out a lot of information so far.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a different faith and believed in Christ as my Savior. The problem was, though I believed this, i didn't know who Christ was. And more importantly, I didn't know what He wanted from me. I searched for the truth by going to many other churches of faith. The LDS (Mormon) church was just another stop for me. I found something to be different, strange about this church. I thought everyone here was acting the same, and at first, it put me off. I later realized, if we are all supose to be like Christ, then wouldn't we/ shouldn't we all act the same? This was the only church I have come across where its members as well as its leaders made an attempt to act like Christ. There was no show put on for me, no booth I had to confess my sins in. I prayed, read and listened to that still small voice within me, and it told me that this is God's true church. I'm not Mormon because my parents were, I'm not Mormon because my friends attend the services. I'm Mormon because its who I was in the Pre-Mortal life and its who I'm meant to be now--who we're all meant to be.

How I live my faith

I attend Paterson 2nd Branch, it is not a Ward. If you are new to this faith, a Branch and Ward can be explained by asking a missionary, or if you just stop on by your local LDS chapel. A ward has a Bishop, and a Branch has a President. Each Bishop and President has two counselors to assist in the leadership of their calling. I am one of these counselors. I go where God needs me to be, I help who God sends me to help. How I live my faith is by keeping my heart open to God's requests as well as His commandments. I listen and do my best to fulfill His desires. There is no failing with God. If we try-He will have us succeed. If we say no to Him, we limit the way He can bless us. I live my faith by living for God.
