Hi I'm Tatiana

I'm an aspiring lawyer studying philosophy and music, sometimes I plan weddings, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest of five kids and I love my family! I love to learn and am interested in almost everything. :) Some favorite hobbies include playing the piano, planning friends' weddings, and singing in a fun a cappella group. I'm a college student studying philosophy and minoring in music, preparing to attend law school soon! I love life: especially laughing, getting to know new people, places, and cultures, and spending time with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

The one thing in life that I can truly say I am passionate about is the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has been a part of my life since I was young, and I always felt great about it. However, around the age of 16, I had questions and doubts about everything, and I especially wondered, "do I really know that God exists?" I pondered and studied, and when I decided that I really wanted to know, I prayed. On several occasions after that prayer, I felt the Holy Spirit testify to me strongly that God is there, that He loves me, and that He hears my prayers. His Spirit also testified strongly to me that Jesus Christ loves me freely, and that out of that love, He sacrificed everything so that I and others can be saved from sadness. I have a testimony because of the Spirit that the priesthood, or God's power, is real and on earth, that Joseph Smith was an honest man, and that the Book of Mormon and the Bible were truly written by ancient prophets and contain revelations from God. I am very grateful for all that God has revealed to me. It is true, real, and extremely comforting. I know that God wants so much that we all be happy, fully and eternally, that He knows the way to achieve that happiness, and that He reveals the way through His prophets as well as personal revelation.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to grow closer to God. It's a continuous process, but I know that God is the source of true happiness, so getting to know Him and understanding his will are major goals for me. Praying, reading the scriptures, attending the temple, serving people, participating in weekly church services, and talking about beliefs and testimonies with others are great ways to help me feel closer to Him. I am grateful for the chance I had to serve an 18-month mission a little while ago. I have never felt happier and more in tune with God's spirit than while sharing the good news of His restored gospel on a full-time basis.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

The missionaries will talk about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and invite you to find out for yourself if the message is true. They will teach you about our beliefs and then invite you to pray and read from the Book of Mormon and other materials on your own time. If you would honestly like to know if the message of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true, the missionaries are there to lovingly instruct you on what you'll need to do to gain that personal witness. If you would simply like to learn about the message, the missionaries can also help you. They will talk about God's plan of salvation and happiness, how knowledge of that plan has been restored to the earth, and how we can return to live with God through the great sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
