Hi I'm Jim

I grew up a country boy, now an electrical engineer in the city. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised a country boy learning hard work and loving life. I am now a city boy, with a wonderful family. My wife and I have three sons, a daughter, two daughter inlaws and a grandson and love to watch them learn and grow. I work as an electrical engineer and continue to be fascinated by science and the power of the electron.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides me with light and truth about God and His son Jesus Christ and is an anchor of focus and happiness in my life. I have had indescribable and undeniable experiences over the course of my life, starting in my youth, that testify that Jesus is the Christ; that God the Father loves all His children and that I am His son; and that there was a restoration of priesthood authority given to living prophets to do God's eternal work here on earth today. The proof of this restoration is found in ancient scripture revealed to the boy prophet Joseph Smith and translated by the power of God known as the Book of Mormon. I have read it and been blessed by the spirit of revelation to know it is true.

How I live my faith

I have had wonderful experiences serving in the church and working mostly with young men and assisting them in learning the gospel and to work in priesthood service to others. I currently have the calling and privilege to serve the people in my area as their bishop (like a pastor). I have been trained only by experience and personal study of the gospel and have great faith that God will teach me by the spirit how to serve and help others. The most wonderful aspect of living my faith is the hope and joy I find in being a husband and father and knowing the relationship I have with my family can extend beyond mortal death. How do I live my faith? I simply work at it each day finding joy and happiness in the journey.
