Hi I'm Michael

I love sports. I love my family. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently just came home from my mission and I am a student in college. I love to play sports. Any kind of sports. I grew up playing all sports, and they are my life. My favorites are golf, basketball, and soccer. I love to sing and dance. I can play the piano a little bit, but not very well.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I was baptized at 8 years old, and have been a member ever since. I have always known that this church was true, ever since I was little. I never questioned the church or the principles of the gospel. I had a testimony of the church and the gospel at a pretty young age. I always chose to do the right things and to follow the gospel because I knew it was right. After serving my mission, I gained more knowledge and truth about this gospel. I learned and gained so much. My testimony grew and strengthened so much that I didn't even know it was possible to grow that much. I continue to follow this gospel because I know in my heart and mind that it is true. I have no doubts about it. It's what leads and guides me in all that I do. It helps me in times of need. Lifts me in times of struggle. And pushes me along in times of hard times. It never lets me fall. I don't know where I would be in this world without this gospel. It is so amazing and means so much to me.

How I live my faith

I am in the Single's Ward right now, and I am a co-chair on the Fellowship Committee. In this committee, we are assigned to go out and find members in our ward who are less active. We go to their homes and invite them to all the activities. Our committee puts on a game night for the ward leaders and the less actives. We believe that it is easier when you are a less active to come to an activity then to just come straight back to church. We do these game nights to help the less actives come and make new friends, visit with the ward leaders, and make friendships in the ward, to help them and encourage them and fellowship them back in the ward. To help them feel comfortable to come to church, and to let them know that they are not alone. We, as a ward, are here to help them any way we can. I am also a hometeacher. I am given a couple names in the ward who I am sort of responsible for. I home teach them and visit with them multiple times during each month. I can go by and give them a spiritual lesson, or just offer a helping hand. I am there to help them with whatever they need help with. I am always willing to help them, no matter how big or small. I am not just their hometeacher, but we become great and close friends. A hometeacher is someone who is always a phone call away.
