Hi I'm Ellen

I am a political science major, a lover of baseball, an eater of cookies, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending college again after a three year absence while I worked and served a mission. I have a passion for history, writing, and political science. After I graduate with my bachelors degree I plan to go to law school. When I spend time indoors I read or watch my favorite TV series. When out of doors, I love to hang out at the lake, horseback ride, hike, and ski. I like to help others see the FUN in life. I have a habit of doing spontaneous bits...usually no one else gets them.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a part of Christ's church because it brings me pure joy. Knowing that I can be with my family for all eternity gives me great comfort. When I heed what the prophets and scriptures say I find that I am blessed. Being a member of this church I have noticed that life is always great even when I am amidst trials. There is always someone to help me get back up when I fall down.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I have the opportunity to attend church services a couple of miles from my home. Not only do I get to go to church, but continue to learn about the fullness of the Gospel everyday of the week by waking up every morning to read, study, and ponder the scriptures. I usually do this alone; occassionally I will study with my friends or family. In addition to scripture reading, I pray. Prayer is essential for me to maintain a happy attitude and faith in Jesus Christ. At the end of the day I write in my journal to reflect on the day and see what I can do better the next day.
