Hi I'm Rex

I was born in Idaho, but grew up in Arizona. My professional career is in banking. I love my church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband, a father of 5 and a grandfather of 8. I'm a senior private banker and a commercial loan officer. I've been a banker for 37 years. I'm also a Rotarian. I've been in Rotary for a total of about 16 years and have had perfect attendance at my weekly meetings for nearly 10 years. In my spare time I like to fix things. I work on cars, repair things around the the home and occasionally do a little woodworking. I like to play golf, but I not very good. My father-in-law use to out score me and now my son does. However, the good shots are worth it and I enjoy the time out of doors. I occasionally work on my family's genealogy and would like to get back to playing the guitar. I have an old cabin in the pines and enjoy spending weekends in the summer there. I mostly like time with my wife and family. I love them all and miss the ones that live out of state!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have received a testimony that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's true Church here on the earth. I have that testimony based upon the feelings I receive when I study the scriptures and pray about them. I have also had some special spiritual experience during my life that have witnessed to me that Holy Ghost was helping me know the truth. I'm also a Mormon because living the Gospel makes me happy. Those I know who have chosen to break God's commandments are the ones I feel are really unhappy. Lastly, I'm a Mormon becuase the Church gives me the opportunity to serve other people and improve their lives, while I'm improving my own.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to keep the commandments and by serving others. I have had the opportunity to serve in many Church callings over the years. I'm currently serving as the Sunday School President in my Ward. I make mistakes and sometimes get a little too selfish, but then I'm reminded of my errors and do my best to improve. I feel it important to express my love to my wife and family and teach them what is right and wrong. I try to set a good example for my family, friends and those I work with each day.
