Hi I'm Rob

I'm a husband, father, teacher, firefighter, sports fan and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I volunteer as the Fire Chief in my town. I enjoy watching my children in their different activities from school musicals to sports. I like the Andy Griffith show and Matlock. I still have a large baseball card collection from my childhood.

Why I am a Mormon

I was taught by my parents during my childhood the doctrines and principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ and was given the opportunity to learn for myself that the truths were true. I watched some of my fellow youth turn away from the teachings of their families and their reasoning was because they wanted to be independent from their parents. For me as I studied and prayed on my own I felt a witness from the Holy Ghost that the truths I was learning were true. I felt independent because I choose for myself to continue to follow the teachings I had received as a child.

How I live my faith

The majority of the time you will find me with the youth as a teacher. I enjoy sharing the truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ with them and seeing them choose to act correctly upon their understanding. It is a miracle to seek these youth find out for themselves rather than accept what I've said.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

We believe God calls Prophets and reveals to them his directions and guidance to share with His Children. In the Book of Amos chapter 3 verse 7 we read, "Surely the Lord God will do nothing until he revealeth his secret unto his servants the Prophets." The Bible teaches of God's plan of happiness for families including the central role in the plan of His son Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
