Hi I'm Adriane.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After living in Lawrence, KS for 20 years (Rock Chalk Jayhawk) and raising our 3 children there, we moved to a "beautiful valley" in Utah to be closer to our kids in college at BYU. I am still adjusting to LONG winters and limited shopping. It is impossible not to appreciate the breathtaking scenery as I daily walk our two Schnoodles (dogs). But, I'll always be a Midwestern girl at heart. I love my family (including our dogs), KU basketball (with a little BYU and Jimmer thrown in), shopping, cupcakes, Sara Bareilles' music, and the crazy antics of teenagers. The gospel and loving the Lord just seems to make all of these "sweeter."

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. I have read the Book of Mormon many, many times and never fail to receive a witness of its truthfulness and the reality that it is another testament and witness of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I need the ordinances that Christ taught in His gospel, such as baptism by immersion, the sacrament and temple attendance which are offered in His Church through the Priesthood. I am a Mormon because I love learning and all the eternal truths are contained in the gospel for me to study and understand.

How I live my faith

When we lived in Kansas I taught an early-morning religion class for the high school students for seven years. We met each morning at 6:00 a.m. and spent 45 minutes studying the scriptures. During that time, I learned how daily scripture study, especially at the start of the day, brings the Lord's spirit into my life and gives Him the opportunity, over time, to change and sanctify me. Now, I work with the adult women in the Church, I miss the variety and energy that teenagers bring, but I am humbled by the examples of faithful women loving and serving.
