Hi I'm Tammy

I am a wife & a mother. I grew up in Maryland. I believe in Jesus Christ and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 2 wonderful boys. My family is my life. I am an aunt to 9 nephews and 1 neice. I absolutly enjoy being a part of their lives and having a large family. I love to spend time with my family by watching tv, movies, playing games, going out to dinner, etc.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and I know he loves me and everyone of us. I'm a mormon because I know the scriptures are true. I know that the scriptures are the word of Christ and he has given us the gospel to better ourselves and to become more like our Heavenly Father and to live with him again. The teachings of this church are things that most christians already believe, truths that are known in life but never found in the world around us. I love the doctrine of eternal families, that I can be with my loved ones forever. I have had some trying times in my life, but understanding where I came from, that I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father, and what is after this life, has helped me to rely on the Lord and gain the peace that can come through the Atonement of Christ. I know there is a greater plan for each of us, and the Lord is willing to help and guide us to not only have happiness in this life, but also to gain our potential and be the best we can be. I also love that the Lord is still speaking to us through a living prophet, who helps us on this journey of faith.

How I live my faith

My faith is very important to me... In fact, it's everything to me and my family. I live my faith everyday, in everything I do. Through the gospel of Jesus Christ I am motivated to be a better person. I try to be as honest as possible. I do my best to follow Jesus' example and love other people. I live my faith by reading the Book of Mormon everyday, and praying throughout the day. I live my faith by remembering the promises I made to God on the day I was baptized, and acting on those promises. My husband and I try to teach our kids to be kind, empathetic, generous and loving. We say family prayers together and learn about Jesus Christ by reading scripture and telling stories from the Bible. We have dedicated 1 night a week as family time, where we talk about faith and service, developing good character and doing hard things. On Sunday's, we attend services at our church. We talk about Jesus and visit with each other about everyday things, like raising kids, going to work, and walking the dog. My husband and I both hold callings in the church which allow us to be of service to the Lord. I am so grateful for the opportunity to feel the Spirit and share my testimony with members and non-members of the church. I love my faith !
