Hi I'm Jayson

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 28 year old IT Security student. I like all the nerdy stuff, like astronomy, gemology, reading, and the outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was raised LDS, I was more of a rebel than anything. I didn't go to church most of the time and when I went, I would sneak out. I used to get into all kinds of trouble, all I wanted to do was have fun. It wasn't until 2009, thanks to a good roommate, and some answered prayers, that I finally started to come to church for me. It was rocky, and there were times I slipped back into my old habits, but today I'm happy and faithful. I can't imagine my life without the gospel. I know that when I do, it's a scary path. I'm Mormon, because my life is better, but more than that, I'M better. I've been able to be the example for friends who are looking for a way out of that old life and into the one I'm in. I've been able to be that friend that others can come to for help, spiritually and physically. I knew when that started that I was in the right place.

How I live my faith

Being Mormon is more than just going to church, going to the temple, and reading scriptures. The way you carry yourself is a representation of how you live your faith. I live my faith by being charitable, offering help when I can, and being happy. Not faking happy for image's sake, but not letting the little things affect me. It's better to rise above it, than to wade through it and put on a face.
