Hi I'm Devon

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am happily married to the most wonderful and beautiful wife and a proud father of a lil' girl who is just like her mother. My family is most important to me outside of my faith. But when time allows I find myself enjoying nature and all that's around me while cruising the winding roads on my motorcycle. I enjoy going to the gym and playing a quick pick up game of basketball. I am also into guns and enjoy every opportunity to hit the range. I am a big guy who likes guns and motorcycles; to some that may seem scary but don't get it twisted I know who I am a a son of God. My Father in Heaven loves me and I will do nothing to jeopardize our relationship.

Why I am a Mormon

The quick and simple answer is that I have read the Bible and the Book of Mormon... I have ponder over their treasures... and have prayed to God to know of their truthfulness. The answer I received was just as clear... the that Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's true church on earth today.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a counselor, alongside the Bishop of our local congregation. Together we serve the members of our church. We also look out for the welfare of those in our community. Our purpose is to serve and to bring joy and happiness into the lives of those that wish to become closer to their Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Devon
I believe that the family is central to our Heavenly Father's plan. The purpose of our existence is to become more like him. God created man and woman for the purpose of loving and supporting one another through life's trials and to procreate. Through the proper authority, given to His disciples families can be sealed together for time and all eternity. Our Heavenly Father loves us dearly and wants nothing more than for us to be happy in this life and the life to come. There is life after death and as long as we live worthily of His blessings He has promised eternal life with those that we love. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Devon
The Bible is scripture. It was the first record given to man to know of Gods commandments and dealings with man here on earth. It is full of great treasure and truth. However, we do not believe it to be the most correct book of scripture on earth today. Throughout history the Bible has been translated, studied, and dissected by man. The numerous arguments over what should or should not be in the Bible and who or who not should be able to have it in their homes has caused the Bible to have some fallacies. As a companion to the Bible and a second testament to our Savior's life; we believe in the Book of Mormon to be the most correct doctrine on the face of the earth today. Show more Show less
