Hi I'm Eric

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and the father of four adult children. We have two wonderful grandbaby girls. I work as an educational researcher. I love to work in my garden, where we grow delicious organic vegetables. Our youngest daughter is serving a church mission to Russia.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were Mormons, but we were not active in the church during my teenage years. In the summer after high school I met a scientist who was active in the church and believed in the resurrection. I asked how he could believe that, being a scientist and knowing what he did about what happens to our bodies when we die. He replied that he did not how how it would happen but did know that it would happen. I felt that I needed to find out more about the church and why it inspired such faith. I began to read the Book of Mormon and was amazed at how it seemed to anticipate and answer my questions. Later that fall in college I began attending church and soon became active. It took several years to feel confident about my testimony of the truthfulness of the church, but once I did, I knew that I wanted to serve a full-time mission, which I did (in France and Switzerland). I later married a wonderful woman, and we have been blessed with four children and now two grandchildren.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good husband, father, employee, citizen, and to follow the teachings of the gospel. I enjoy serving as a leader in a local congregation attended by young single adults.
