Hi I'm Brian

I'm a husband, father, college professor, and yes, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of two boys and a college professor. I'm also writing a textbook.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was seven years old. I was baptized when I was eight years old but when my parents divorced a few years later, we stopped going to church. I got involved with a scout troop sponsored by the church and I started going to church on my own when I was a teenager and I have been an active member ever since. I enjoyed going to church and felt the Spirit. After reading the Book of Mormon, I prayed to know if the book is true. I received a answer that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I now have my own family and I hope to lead my family in living the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

One of things that I do as a member of the church is to help my neighbors move. When someone is moving out or moving in, we are there to help out if they need us, even if they are not members of our faith. We might scratch up your furniture a little but we care. I also help the bishop leader of a local congregation by setting up appointments with members of the church and by preparing agendas for meetings, including sacrament meeting on Sundays. .

What do Mormons believe about family?

We believe that through the sealing power and the power of God, families can be together forever. We sing hymns, have family prayer, and read scriptures together as a family to help us draw closer to God. Show more Show less
