Hi I'm Jana

I have experienced the pain of infertility and the joy of adoption. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy reading, exercising, and learning new things. I am a new mom and I love it. My husband and I recently adopted our a baby boy. He has brought so much joy and happiness into our home.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful to have a knowledge of Christ's gospel. It has brought me peace and hope during difficult times in my life. While going through infertility treatments and waiting for the opportunity to adopt our son and I turned to God for strength and peace. I received help from Him through the scriptures and through prayer. God does answer prayers. He loves us and will help us. Sometimes we forget this, or grow impatient in the midst of our difficult trials. But if we turn to Him we will feel peace and we will not have to bear our burdens alone.

How I live my faith

I live my faith on a daily basis by taking time to focus my thoughts on God and on His Son, Jesus Christ. I spend time reading the scriptures and praying and then I try to follow the Savior's example in my daily activities. I am fortunate enough to be able to stay at home full time to care for my son. I love taking care of him and I try to meet his needs as patiently and lovingly as I can. I also have the opportunity to teach a group of 4 year olds at church each week. I teach them about God's commandments and about Jesus Christ. They are full of energy and I enjoy spending time with them.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

We need a Savior because we are imperfect and without Christ's help we cannot return to live with our Father in Heaven. Christ suffered for our sins, died for us, and then was resurrected. His love and willingness to do this for us makes it possible for us to receive forgiveness of our sins and to live forever. Without Christ this would not be possible. I am humbled that Christ would do this for us. I know that both He and our Father in Heaven love us and want us to return to live with them. Show more Show less
