Hi I'm LeeAnn

I'm a desert rat, love the heat. I love shooting, rock climbing, dogs, latin dancing, and the symphony. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am big into nutrition. My bachelor's was dietetics. I think it's safe to say I like eating food more than cooking it, and I firmly believe there's room for brownies in the food guide pyramid. It seems the more I learn about nutrition and how the body works, the less concerned I am about what I eat. Sometimes life gets busy and I don't eat as I should, but I know better and so don't have any good excuses or rationalizations for myself, sigh. Sometimes I'd rather not know what's in my food :)

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life. I continue to be a Mormon because everything I learn and do as a member makes me happy. It is a logical as well as spiritual thing for me. I see that when I follow the Lords commandments I am happy and blessed. When I don't I really notice the difference. All of our choices have consequences. I just try to choose the ones that have good consequences and make me happy :) That doesn't mean that bad things never happen. That's just part of life, but when I follow the Lord's counsel He's there and helps me through the trials. It's definitely better than trying to do it on my own.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to have charity and love for everyone around me. I serve the women in my ward by teaching them, supporting them, and just being their friend. Everyone has things going on in their lives. While at church, I can provide a warm smile, a kind word, a listening ear. We're all in this life together.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

LeeAnn
When Christ established His church during his mortal life He had leaders (Peter, James, John...) who led the church after His death. When they were martyred the authority to lead the church properly was lost with them. So over time The church changed with man. The Restoration was necessary to reestablish His church as it was before. Show more Show less
