Hi I'm Carl

Husband and father. Software/electrical engineer at a startup. Swimmer, runner, bicyclist and volleyball pIayer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After I graduated with my engineering degree, I moved to Colorado to work on microprocessors. I soon met and married my sweetheart and now we have two beautiful daughters and son. We do all kinds of things together. We run, swim, ride bikes, play, cook, eat out, camp and watch movies together among other things. We spend some time together nearly every day. Though my field of study was electrical engineering, I've found that I have an exceptional talent for designing and writing software programs. I spend most of my time at work and a little of my spare time at home writing software. I like to stay active. Lately, I've been riding my bicycle to work nearly every day. I start by riding with my 1st grader to school and then I continue on to work. I run twice a week as long as the weather cooperates and I swim. Besides doing the basics to keep in shape, I enjoy a hard volleyball game and I pitch slow pitch softball. I also enjoy singing. I sing a cappella with a small group of men each Christmas season and for special occasions. I also sing Tenor with the Colorado Mormon Chorale.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of Jesus Christ's church because it is what my parents taught me. I stay here because of my faith in Him and our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

My faith is integral to my life. I spend time with my family and give them everything that I have. I show them how to treat others with kindness, caring and respect as Jesus Christ has shown us. I serve as a part time missionary in the area, I maintain a schedule of meals for our full time missionaries to visit the homes of members in the area. I also take time out to make visits with the full time missionaries. I travel to Denver each Wednesday night with a small group of other singers in my area to rehearse with the Colorado Mormon Chorale. We put on concerts all year long but especially around the Christmas and Easter seasons when we remember the birth and resurrection of our Savior. Singing with the chorale helps me to feel closer to Him and the Spirit testifies to my heart strongly when I'm singing that he Lives today and that he is aware of me personally. My family also sings in our local congregational choir as much as a family with small children can. We love music and it is a part of our daily lives.
