Hi I'm Jake

I live in the panhandle of Florida. I'm a husband, a father and an electrical contractor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father of four daughters. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and spending time with my family. I am a master electrician and I work as a commercial electrical project manager / estimator.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents converted to the Mormon Church just before I was born. I was blessed to have been raised in the church. My parents taught me the gospel in both word and deed. As I grew up I had many opportunities for personal reflection and study. It was during these times that I felt the Holy Spirit testify to me that this really was God's true church. To this day I thank my Father in Heaven for having been born to such faithful parents. The peace that comes from knowing that my wife and children are sealed to me for time and all eternity is indescribable. Likewise the knowledge that all people, even those born without ever hearing Christ’s name, will have an opportunity to hear the Gospel message and have the same potential as me to be exalted in the kingdom of God strengthens my faith.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in church callings and by sharing my beliefs with others. My main focus is to teach my children the gospel principles that will help them to choose the right and be good examples to others. I get many opportunities for service. It seems like we help someone move every month. We are also on a rotation to clean the church building. Each week families from our ward come and clean the building. This has been a great experience for our whole family. All the children participate and each has their own job. The little ones love to help push the big commercial sized vacuum down the long halls of the church. We find so much joy in these day to day experiences and find that through church service our family relationship is strengthened.
