Hi I'm Brent Edward Wallen

I joined the church in Sept. 18, 2010 and I'm currently serving in the Utah Salt Lake City South Mission.

About Me

As I was looking into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I was met with a lot of trials and tribulations sadly enough from my own family. I knew I was doing the right thing and kept going through with my baptism and am currently serving a full-time mission in Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth. Joseph Smith having been given the priesthood authority to do so, he translated the Book of Mormon and restored Christ's church to the earth. With that same priesthood authority that was on the earth in Christ's time, we now have temple where sacred ordinances take place that allow families to be together for time and all eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping the commandments that Heavenly Father has set forth and by helping others build their own faith in Jesus Christ. Seeing the Light of Christ growing in another person is such a beautiful miracle in itself and I'm very thankful that I have the opportunity to see that happen.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Brent Edward Wallen
Required to serve a mission? Technically, no. But a prophet of the Lord Jesus Christ once said, "All worthy young men should serve a full time mission." That is a call to all the world by a prophet of the Lord. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Brent Edward Wallen
As we pray to our Heavenly Father, He will answer us. Prayer is a two way communication with God that He will hear our prays and answer us as we keep the commandments and live a righteous life. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Brent Edward Wallen
The purpose of this life is for men to prepare to meet God and for us to perform our labors. It is true that we are saved by grace but it is only after all that we can do. Show more Show less
