Why I am a Mormon

When talking with other "mormons", I could feel the Spirit strongly. The missionaries taught me things that made sense and fit perfectly in line with what I had already been taught from The Bible. I enjoy the feeling of love I receive both from our Heavenly Father and from other members of the church. No matter where I live or visit, the church is like an extended family for me, providing love and care when needed.

How I live my faith

I visit other females in the church monthly, or more frequently, to ensure everyone's needs are met and they feel my love and friendship. I teach seminary (scripture study) on weekdays to teenagers.

What is being a Mormon like?

Jennifer
Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (aka Mormon) is wonderful. When you walk into the church building you'll notice many persons who greet you. Generally we're happy and trying to do our best. You'll probably see a few crying children in the pews. :-) The church members quickly become like extended family. No matter where you move, like military members, you'll always have that extended family there to help you and love you. You'll find we're continually striving to learn and grow to become our best. Like others, we make mistakes along the way, but we're continually working toward being better. The atonement is something very personal to most of us and you'll notice our actions reflect that. Being a member of this church involves bettering yourself and helping others to do the same in a loving manner. Show more Show less
