Hi I'm Lance

I'm married to a wonderful wife with five boys! I'm addicted to sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I practice law in a small Idaho town. It gives me a chance to be involved in the community and associate with great people and great neigbhors but mostly it gives me a chance to be with my wife and five boys! We love to spend time traveling, hiking in the city of rocks and spending time in Island Park where I can relax and read which, is also one of my passions. However, my favorite thing to do is sports! I confess, I'm addicted to sports and have played or watched just about every sporting event imaginable. If there is a sporting event on and I am not busy, I'll watch it, and I have probably played it.

Why I am a Mormon

Because my family is my most prized possession in life I am drawn to the teachings of the church. I believe a loving Father in Heaven made it possible for all his children to be togeather forever as families. I have felt the confirming witness of the holy spirit testify to me of the truths taught in the church and in the temples. I am grateful for a loving Savior who continues to bless me in times of struggle and challenge as I try to live my life as he would have me.

How I live my faith

I try to be an example of the believers. I have many wonderful friends and associates that are not Mormon but inspire me daily as they live Christ like lives. I try to learn and share my feelings of the Savior through my example and actions. I enjoy serving in the church especially with the youth. They are such an inspiration to me as they live in such tumultous times yet, are so committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Lance
A testimony is a "witness" of the truthfulness of the feelings, teachings and doctrine shared. It comes through the communication of the Holy Spirit as taught in Galatins 5:22. Once that witness comes from the Holy Ghost, like a witness in a court room setting, we are bound to testify of the things that are true by sharing our "testimony." Show more Show less
