Hi I'm Marion

I am a wife, mother of 5, and grandmother of 14. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the LDS faith. I come from a strong heritage of early pioneers that sacrificed everything they had and suffered much persecution because of their belief in the true Church of Jesus Christ. I honor them and try to live my life to thank them for giving me the blessings I enjoy today. I love being a mother and believe it's the most important role a woman can have. I treasure the blessing of being a grandmother and enjoy how much my heart keeps growing with each addition to our family. I love cooking, baking, and planning activities for my family in order to spend time together. My family is my most prized possession. I try to live my life with the thought of what kind of memory am I making for my posterity this very moment.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised being a Mormon I consider myself a convert. There came a time in my life that I had to know for myself that the LDS church was true. Because of some poor choices I made early in my life I was inactive for about 8 years. I was not unhappy those 8 years but my life was hard. I felt the yearnings to be in church and be where I new I belonged. I eventually got the courage to set my life in order and go back to what I new was true. I really read The Book of Mormon for the first time then and prayed to know of it's truthfulness. I received a strong confirmation of it's truthfulness. I am grateful for the trials I have gone through to get me to where I am today. I am a Mormon because living it's teachings brings me peace, happiness, joy, and fills an emptiness that only the gospel of Jesus Christ can fill. I am a Mormon because living the gospel principles makes life's trials easier to manage. I am a Mormon because I know it is the restored church of Jesus Christ. He is my Savior and my Redeemer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live by Christ's example. I fall short sometimes. But I keep trying. I enjoy being active in my ward by accepting callings I am asked to do and doing them to the best of my ability. I believe we are all given gifts for the purpose of blessing others lives through serving one another and sharing those gifts. Christ spent His life serving those around Him and I know that is what we should do, also.
