Hi I'm Mike Hickman

I'm a fireman. I love to stay active. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student at Utah Valley University. I'm a structure and wildland firefighter as well as an EMT. I love staying active and just always having a good time. I'm kind of a gym rat, always love to stay in shape. I served my mission in the southern states speaking Spanish. I try to do what I can to help other people because I know that it's because of the people in my life I am where I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because to me it just makes sense. I was born into the church, but like many at one point in my life I didn't know if it was for me. Was lost for a while with a chip on my shoulder but one day decided to really give it a shot. When I went back to church with an open mind everything was so easy to understand. There was always an answer to every question. So I started to apply the teachings again to my life. This time not only because I was told to, but because I really wanted to. I saw the difference in my life and never wanted to go back. Nothing could ever take place of the happiness I get from the ONE AND ONLY true Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by simply trying to be an example to those around me. Try to do what I can to help others and really just be there for people in their times of need. I served a mission where I got to go around sharing the Gospel full time which was a great experience for me to really share what I believe with others and try to give them the opportunity to chance to have the same happiness in their lives I have.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Mike Hickman
To me everything in existence show to me that there is a God. There is no way that everything came so perfectly organized by chance. There is a greater power who created and organized everything and He is our God. The Spiritual Father of every single one of us here on the Earth. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Mike Hickman
Faith is acting on something that you don't know for a positive that it's really there. It's the belief of something with only evidences of it's existence and not proof. My faith in Jesus Christ and his restored church has driven me to many decisions in my life that have brought me to a point to where I know feel I know that the church is true. Show more Show less
