Hi I'm Heidi

I am a stay-at-home mom to 5 awesome kids, ages 10, 8, 5, 3, and 1. I find joy in creating and learning...and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Yes, I am super busy, but staying organized and having outlets (such as socializing, reading, creating, etc.) helps me to find joy in every-day life. My husband of 11 years is a student once again after several years in the workforce. He is at The Ohio State University getting a PhD. We met at BYU in 1996 during our freshman year of college. After he served a mission in Russia, we married in the San Diego temple in 1999. We both finished up our schooling at BYU with Business Management degrees, and headed off to Columbus, OH for my husband to get a couple of masters degrees and for me to have our first child. Since then, we've lived in the Midwest and LOVE it! After grad school, we headed to Indiana for a couple years and then Iowa for a few more. Now we're back in school! The next step in life for us is unknown, but I am so glad to have the gospel as a constant rock. I am not in any way perfect, but with a connection to my Heavenly Father through prayer, along with a true prophet and the scriptures to guide me, I have everything I need to make good decisions.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony that The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints is the true church on this earth today--the church led by Jesus Christ himself through a living, modern-day prophet. I am very blessed to have never doubted this. I have always been an active member of the church, and have always felt blessed for that choice.

How I live my faith

I live my faith mostly by mothering and teaching my children, but I often have the opportunity within the church and the community to serve others. Currently, I am working with the cub scouts and teaching a children's Sunday school class.
