Hi I'm Ian

I find and distribute art-house movies. I'm a husband and a father of two sets of twin boys. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a guy who currently spends the bulk of my non-job related time trying to keep up with my amazing wife and four boys. That said, I love movies and cooking. I've run a marathon once (at an embarrassingly slow pace) and I run with a group of friends in 10k mud runs and relay races to try to keep in shape.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is led by a prophet of God and that it contains all of the teachings and rites we need to successfully navigate this life and return to our Heavenly Father at the end of it. Being a Mormon gives me a purpose I haven't found anywhere else. I know who I am, where I've come from and what God wants from me. I know that I can turn to him in prayer and receive guidance and direction. There is so much joy in being a member of this church and in living the principles taught here. I can't imagine my life without it.

How I live my faith

For me, being a Mormon is all about finding and having greater joy and purpose in life. I currently serve as a bishop in a student ward. I'm constantly struck by how wonderful these young people are. They really help me a lot more than I help them. I also love to participate in community service opportunities and have participated in projects with organizations as varied as local food shelters, park clean up crews and blood drives. Serving people brings me a great deal of pleasure and a stronger connection with God.
