Hi I'm Keano

I love 7-11 slurpees and I'm Mormon.

About Me

I guess I'm pretty easy to get along with. I love spending time with my family and good buddies. I love playing all sports and trying new things. I love bright colors. I love music. It doesn't take much for me to be entertained. People say I'm pretty different. Different is good. The gospel enables me to be me, the very best me even if it is different. I'm currently serving as a missionary in the Nevada, Las Vegas West Mission and its the best choice I've made yet!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I choose to be. I cannot deny the feelings I've felt, the blessings I've seen and the joy I have from striving to live and share truth. The gospel of Jesus Christ enables me to have a perspective that all will be okay if I do the simple things I know to be right. True happiness in this life and in the life to come is my goal. If I am to be deserving of this, it is and will require life-long effort on my part. Thankfully our Father in Heaven loves us so much He provided a way for this to happen not just for me, but for ALL of His children who choose to accept it. That way is through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. He is "the way, the truth and the life". Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, the gospel was restored through Him. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's kingdom on earth. I have come to know these truths because I've asked through sincere prayer if these things are true. Because my Heavenly Father loves me so much, He answered my prayers through the power of His Holy Spirit which for me, was felt more through feelings of peace, warmth and comfort and amazing-ness. We are all His children and He loves ALL of us, which means ALL can pray to know for themselves. Since doing so, Life is suddenly always good, it still has its ups and downs...but knowing truth has enabled me to have a more clear perspective of things. Hence, I am Mormon because I choose to be. I cannot deny the feelings I've felt, the blessings I've seen and the joy I have from striving to live and share truth. This is the truth.

How I live my faith

I "try a little harder, to be a little better" everyday...(President Gordan B. Hinckley)

Why is family so important to Mormons?

The ultimate purpose for us here on Earth is to strive to live a good life so that we can return to live with our Father in Heaven one day. We are to live in the world but not of the world. This requires support. Our Father in Heaven loves me so much he has given me a family here on Earth who can help give that support. Because of the faithfulness of my parents and their parents in centering their lives in Christ and His atonement, my family has become the support I've needed to become the person I am today. By living the gospel as best we can, not perfectly, we as a family are able to see the good in one another and all things, which gives us hope that one day we can be together forever.
