Hi I'm Shirleen

I am an artist, genealogist, wife, mother and grandmother. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I have been married to my sweet husband for 42 years. We have four grown children and thirteen grandchildren. My passions are watercolor painting, especially portraits of my family, photography, and family history. I love being with my family as much as possible and serving in the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon home but actually gained my testimony at the age of 18. We are asked to pay our tithing, 10% of our increase, and I had not been faithful in doing that until I got a job out of High School. I can testify that because I paid my tithing my life became so much better and many blessings came to me because of this small act of faith. My husband and I continue to pay our tithing because we know we will be blessed more than what we pay.

How I live my faith

My husband and I raised our children in the church and tried to be the best parents we knew how to be. We had our successes and our failures but we never gave up on our children and always sought Heavenly Fathers help in raising them because we knew of their potential. I have served in many callings in our church from helping with the young children teaching them songs to being in charge of our women's organization. With each assignment came tremendous growth to me personally helping be come a better person. The church has been a great strength to me as an individual and has helped strengthen our family.
