Hi I'm Brooke

My family is my life. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife & a stay-at-home mom of 3 pre-school age kids. I am doing what I've always wanted to do with my life. This whole "mommy-thing" takes much more skill & mental discipline than I ever expected. (it's not for wimps, that's for sure!) I am ambitious & a perfectionist, which can be a blessing & a curse. I love the outdoors & I love to be in the kitchen, making something good to eat for my family.

Why I am a Mormon

There is nothing in this world that makes me happier or more at peace than the gospel of Jesus Christ. It really is as simple as that. I've tried living my life "on the fence," and every bone in my body tells me that in this church, striving to be Christlike, is where I belong.

How I live my faith

I work with the Young Women in our church, and I love it. I get to spend a lot of time with our teenage girls, which gives me a much needed break from my day-to-day "mommy routine!" Other than Sundays at church, I get to be a part of planning activities & experiences for these girls that will help them progress & grow in the most important areas of their lives. Witnessing just how strong these girls are in their own convictions, gives me hope for my own kids futures. In a world that grows more scarry on a daily basis, the youth of our church are like a breath of fresh air.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Don't take my word for it, that's for sure! I grew up in the church, & came from a long line of LDS ancestors. The Mormon culture has always just been a part of my life. That being the case, there did come a time when I had to decide if this was really for me. I had outstanding parents & grandparents: they raised me in the church, but also raised me to think for myself. As a young adult, I had to make a conscious decision to take this whole "Mormonism" thing up with God. I had to pray. I had to consult with my Heavenly Father, and make sure that I was living the life he would want me to live. That's one thing about our Heavenly Father- he answers prayers, regardless what religion (if any) you are. I received my answer, which was undeniable. Every one of us is a child of God, and therefore is entitiled to the same- an answer from our Heavenly Father. If you want to know if the church is true, & if this really is the gospel of Jesus Christ, pray about it with real intent & a sincere heart. Show more Show less
