Karen. : convert, infant mortality, Mormon.

Hi I'm Karen.

About Me

I'm mother of six & grandmother of almost 16! I love people, especially newborn babies & love to hear other people's life experiences. I love reading, travelling & scrapbooking as well as studying the scriptures & attending the temple.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church because I received a witness of the Holy Spirit that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Kingdom of God on the earth and I truly desired to be a member of God's kingdom.

Personal Stories

Could you talk about your baptism?

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on December 4, 1971 in Billings, Montana. It had been a year and half since our infant son died when he was only about 6 weeks old. At the time of his death, I blamed myself & felt hurt beyond consolation. But, my next door neighbor, a member of The Church, had all the answers to my questions & explained God's plan of happiness including the fact that our son would be resurrected as an infant & we could be the ones to raise him to adulthood during the millenium when Christ would be ruling personally on the earth & Satan would be bound with no power or influence. She also shared the importance of the family in God's plan for His children & the possibilty of being sealed as an eternal family in the House of the Lord, the Holy Temple. I was thrilled & tears of joy filled my eyes as I listened to her loving words of comfort and of God's love for each and every one of His children.

How I live my faith

I try each day to follow the perfect example of our Savior, Jesus Christ by being kind to others, extending a hand of friendship & comforting those who are in need of comfort. I feel certain that every trial I've had is to give me experience so that I can truly comfort others when they find themselves in similar circumstances. I welcome those opportunities & hope that I will do what the Savior would do in each case.
