Hi I'm Marci

I grew up in a small town. I love to work, study, be with my boyfriend, and clog. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a quiet girl. I was homeschooled and that was the best thing ever! I love to spend time with my family. I don't know what I would do without them. I will have my Associates in March. I love to work with kids, and both of my jobs are all about kids. I love to spend time on fb, reading, clogging, being crazy with my friends, and I enjoy writing my friends who live all around the world. I have a boyfriend who I love dearly. He is my best friend. He is currently serving a mission for the church, and I'm so grateful for the chance to support him through his mission, and to be able to grow through this experience.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both Mormon. When I was a teenager, I really wanted to know if I was in the right religion. I prayed, fasted, and read my scriptures. One day, I just knew it. It was a peaceful feeling, and I knew that this was the Lord's church. I have been faithful to that feeling I had ever since then. I love the peace the gospel brings. I know I can talk to God at any time, and in any place. It makes life so much better to know that I will have my family forever, no matter what happens, because of the temple. I know Jesus loves me, and that because of His sufferings, I can repent of my mistakes, and live with Him again someday.

How I live my faith

I have many ways I contribute to church, and to help others. I play the piano in church, as well as help plan out activites for the singles in my town. I do my best to look for those who look lonely, and become their friend, or at least someone they know, and that will say "hi!" to them. I love to help take care of kids when their parents are helping out with church activities. I also enjoy writing missionaries that are out serving and teaching where ever they have been assigned. I have many friends and family members that are serving missions all over the world. I can see how they are growing and becoming better people by putting the Lord first and helping others come to Him.

No, Mormons no longer practice polygamy. They did a long time ago, but when it was made illegal by law, they discontinued practicing polygamy to obey the law. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No, only young men, 19 or older, are asked to serve missions. Young women, 21 or older, who would like to are more than welcomed to serve missions if they feel like it is something they should do. Older couples who are retired are encouraged as well to serve a couple mission. Many couple missionaries serve more than one. Show more Show less
