Hi I'm Jessica

I'm a Canadian, a college student, a lover of music and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love making music! I grew up in a home that had musical instruments playing all day. I play the piano, the violin, I love to sing, and I'm teaching myself guitar. I love to make music with my dad and brothers. I am a college student studying Family Life and Human Development. I love to be with people and learn new things. I love cooking, reading, and being outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be into a family who had the gospel. I grew up going to church every Sunday and participating in the church programs. I also loved it but wanted to make sure it was right for me and not just a good idea to be in the church because my family was. I remember spending a summer reading the Book of Mormon cover to cover and then going on a hike with a bunch of youth. I prayed at the top of the mountain to know if the church was true and it came to me that what I have always been a part of is the truth! This really is God's church and He directs it. I have remained faithful to this knowledge.

How I live my faith

I am no better than anyone else and simply do what I know my Father in Heaven expects of me. In small ways I live my faith every day. I pray morning and night and throughout the day and read my scriptures to learn His word. I try to serve and help those around me in my community. I believe in standing up for what is right and I am not afraid to share what I know and believe and to help others be firm in their convictions as well.

What is the Church’s position on abortion?

We believe in the sanctity of life. The scriptures teach us that we are here to gain our bodies and earthly experiences that will help us to grow. Abortion is the taking away of a life so they don't have this opportunity.  Show more Show less
