Hi I'm Jessica Woodruff

I'm a wife and mother to 5 kids and I run my own dayhome. I love volleyball, musicals, and playing games. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 35, the mother of 5 children, and wife to a wonderful husband. I run a dayhome which has allowed me to be able to stay at home with my kids while they grow up. I love Broadway musicals, volleyball, reading good books, playing games with my family, and trying to keep fit. I also volunteer at the local food bank preparing emergency hampers for those in need in our community.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was not active in the Mormon faith while I was young, so my grandparents took my brother and sister and I to church. I loved the feelings I had when I went to church. It was a happy place for me. My family decided to move several hours away the summer I turned 15. There was not a Mormon church in the town we lived in, and my step father did not want me to continue going to church anyways. For the next few years until I finished high school, I lived a pretty normal teenage life. I stayed out of trouble for the most part, had a good group of friends, and did well in school. Once I graduated and it was time for me to leave for college, I decided to return to church. Although my life was not bad when I hadn't been attending, I really felt a longing to come back to it. I love the standards of God's church. I knew long ago that He was real and that He loved me, and knew the details of my life. I love reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible and learning about the Savior. When I came back to the church, I learned more about temples and how families could be together forever. I fell in love with a wonderful man and we were married in the Alberta Temple in 1998. I'm a Mormon because I know that this is God's church. I have felt the whisperings of the Holy Spirit in my life which leave me without a shadow of a doubt that the Book of Mormon is true scripture. I have had answers to prayers that could have come by no other means but from God.

How I live my faith

I have the pleasure of working with the children aged 3 - 11 in the church. I teach lessons and help them learn songs, and help them to feel Heavenly Father's love for them as individuals. I also am responsible for visiting and helping some incredible ladies in the church. We talk about the things that matter most to us spiritually and temporally. It's so great to have a network of people to help and serve each other.
