Hi I'm Aaron Sundstrom

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a proud husband and father of three beautiful children. Benjamin, Levi and Ahna are the greatest blessings that God has ever granted unto my wife and I. Elizabeth is the best mom a kid could wish for and a pretty good wife to boot! We are small business owners and run a family owned real estate brokerage and property management company in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, which is pretty much the most beautiful place on earth. Obviously, we are enjoying raising our two sons here, but I also find time to train at the gym and fulfilled a lifelong dream of competing in a strong man event in March of 2012. I love pulling trucks and flipping HUGE tires! I also enjoy playing softball, boating, road trips and am always willing to lend a hand to someone in need.

Why I am a Mormon

I read the Book of Mormon when I was 21 yrs. old. I was not looking for religion or God for that matter. Outwardly, I was very happy with my life, I had a beautiful girlfriend, a nice apartment, nice car and a good paying job. I had everything the world could offer. But, inwardly I was lost, I was on a roller coaster of emotions and I had no where to turn for peace. One night, I had a very powerful spiritual awakening, it came out of nowhere and needless to say it changed my life forever. I was inspired to read the Book of Mormon and did so with every free moment I had. It took me about two weeks to finish reading, it was like reading a good novel until one night I was reading in the 3rd book of Nephi chapter 11 and it said "...Behold my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, in whom I have glorified my name-hear ye him... and behold, they saw a Man descending out of heaven... and it came to pass that he strectched forth his hand and spake unto the people saying: Behold I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world. And behold I am the light and the life of the world..." When i read these verses it was as if I was standing there with those people. For the first time in my life I knew, not intellectually, but spiritually that God lived and that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God- for God himself had testified to me through the Holy Spirit that it was true. I knew it in my heart and my soul and for the first time I had found peace. Gaining this testimony was the first step in my conversion to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I then met with the missionaries who taught me more about the Gospel and how it had been restored to the earth in these Latter Days. They taught me about living prophets and the priesthood. They taught me about how to show my love for God by keeping his commandments and following Christ's example. I eventually served a mission and shared this powerful message of hope and peace with others.

How I live my faith

My faith is very important to me, especially now that I am a father. My wife and I are very aware that we have partnered with the Lord to raise our children and we take that responsibility very serious. We pray with our children (4, 2 and 4 months old) every day and at every meal. We also read scriptures with them and talk to them about Jesus and gospel principles such as baptism. We talk to them about kindness and sharing and teach them to be reverent and fold their arms and bow their heads when we pray. Benjamin, my 4 yr old is probably most famous for his exuberant "amens" at the end of prayers especially when we are at church. My wife and I try to incorporate the teachings of Jesus Christ into everything we do. We are FARRRRR from perfect and we fail every day, but we keep trying. Reading the scriptures, attending church and participating in our church callings all help my wife and I to recenter our lives on Christ on a regular basis.
