Hi I'm Cody

I am a twin brother, i wish i could invent something to record my dreams, fitness is my passion and i love my religion!

About Me

I like being outdoors whether its camping or hiking or bike riding, anything, i like it! I love to play sports as well, but im really more into staying in shape while playing sports more than the sport itself.. I like hanging out with my friends, and having a good time. And i don't think people should always just limit themselves to cake on birthdays... pecan pie is better than actual birthday cake, so that is what i prefer from now on.. :) Just saying. I am eager to get my education in Engineering, and start a family of my own.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because everything makes sense. God works with us through prophets, just as he has in the past all through the Bible. He is working through a prophet today, and i know that since the time of joseph smith the church really was restored. The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is exactly what it claims to be, the Church of Jesus Christ. To paraphrase a scripture in the Book of Mormon, ``If it be moses`s church let it be called after moses, if it be by some other name let it be called by that... but if it beareth not my name, it is not of ME!``

How I live my faith

I make reading the Scriptures a daily habit in my life, and prayer. I try to do a good turn daily, and look for service opportunities that present themselves, because when you are in the service of others, you are in the service of God. I try to recognize my weaknesses and make them strengths, while not focusing on too much the fact that my weakness are sometimes easier to point out, but that all of those can become my strengths as i rely on help from above. These are just a few things that i do in my life to live the faith.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

We can increase our faith in Jesus Christ by doing a lot of things, reading the scriptures, and coming to church, and praying daily are ways that i increase my faith. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Well long story short. We know better.. and the people that start to use these become addicted, or "MUST" have it to survive throughout the day. By not drinking these things we become more free and able to make our own decisions, and that is not the case for somebody who has there decisions made for them after becoming addicted. What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is knowing something is true, and sticking to it no matter how much negative peer pressure is pushed onto you for believing what it is you do. A feeling that no matter what happens, or what is said and done, you can't deny the way that you feel, and what you know is true.   Show more Show less

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

The current Prophet is President Thomas S. Monson. The need for prophets is just as much needed today, as it was for those people before and during Jesus Christ's time. It makes sense that this is how God would continue to work with his people, as we know that God certainly doesn't love the people in Jerusalem or bible times, more than he loves us. He is going to give us many of the same blessings, and one of those are modern day prophets. Show more Show less
