Hi I'm Rodney

I love my family. I love basketball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing, composing and listening to music sports keep me happy and healthy, but most of all I love my family. I enjoy many different kinds of music and love listening to it. I follow a lot of sports teams and play on a couple as well. I went to BYU for a year and I am still trying to narrow down what I want to do. I could see myself going into science, business, or teaching.

Why I am a Mormon

I knew that I could never find out something of a spiritual nature by asking someone else what guesses they had made. I could not just trust another persons belief and be satisfied. Though I know many people who are far smarter than me, and have a richer understanding of the world than I do, I knew I had to find out for myself spiritually and I did. Because of that blessing I know why it is I exist and where in the world I came from and am going. Anyone can come to a knowledge of these things.

How I live my faith

I live what I believe by sharing what I know with others everyday. It brings me happiness to serve those around me, and to help them find out for themselves that we do have a loving Heavenly Father and he has a plan for us.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

The Bible is a wonderful testimony that Jesus Christ is our Savior. I love reading the Bible and it contains the teachings of Jesus Christ and many of his prophets. It is one of the ways that God has given us to know that He is real, that Jesus Christ is our Savior, and that His messenger, the Holy Ghost, provides us with a way to know both of them intimately. It testifies that Jesus Christ lives and continues to love. It testifies that God is a living God and his work has not ceased. It testifies that we will live again after we die, and will return to live with God and our families, if we will follow His Son, Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

The short answer is no. We do not worship Joseph Smith. We worship God. Joseph Smith was only a man called of God to perform a specific work. Other men have been called of God before and we have record of what exactly they did to show their prophetic authority. Noah prophesied of the flood, and secured a way to escape, Moses parted the red sea, and John the revelator prophecied of all things Joseph Smith was called in the same way they were to bring about God's purpose on the Earth. His work was to restore the church of Christ to the Earth, and translate a book of scripture called the Book of Mormon. We can actually investigate if the work he performed was of God, because it remains with us to this day. If we read the Book of Mormon, we can know for ourselves if Joseph Smith was a prophet called by God.   Show more Show less
