Hi I'm Rigs

I love babies, love spring, and l adore my wife and children. And I am a Mormon

About Me

I am a mortgage lender. My wife and I have 4 wonderful kids. I love to do missionary work. I want others to experience the joys I felt, the miracles I experienced and most of all, I want others to feel that love that Heavenly Father has for each of us. It is a love, that once you feel it- you would feel absolute bliss.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in Manila Philippines. I left for the U.S in 1981 . When I was still single, a friend of mine who just got divorced, asked me if he could stay with me in my house. He said, I could just stay in your back yard and live in a tent. I agreed. Now, because he had to use the bathroom and he loves to cook- he was in and out of my house a lot. One day, we were just discussing religions and he bore his testimony to me. He said "Rigs, I have been to a lot of Churches. You name it, I have been there. But the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true Church of God." It was the way he said it in the most humble way and in the spirit that he said it. I felt something very peaceful about his statement that made me look at him in awe. That feeling... I couldn't shake it. I asked him to bring the missionaries over to the house. It took 6 weeks. 6 weeks! I was asking him constantly during those 6 weeks when the missionaries would come. Finally, one evening, 2 tall missionaries knock on my door. Elder Popp and Elder Wilson. The first thing I noticed that the peace that they brought to my house. My whole house became peaceful when they walked in. I was amazed. I knew the peace came from them because when they left, the peaceful feeling left the house. I was really intrigued. So I took the discussions. Although I was experiencing this spiritual feelings, I still have a lot of questions for them- a lot of deep, probing questions. It took several weeks of discussions. The turning point for me was one day, I asked one of the missionaries a question. Elder Popp leaned over to me and answered the question. As he leaned over, his face lit up and I felt that what he was telling me came from God and not from him. I felt that God was telling him what to say to me. I was in tears and I knew that this gospel is true. I joined the church several months after that. You don't have to take my word. You could try it yourself. The missionaries also told me-"Rigs, you don't have to take our word for it to know that this gospel is true. Why don't you pray about it? The God, who is the source of all truth, would answer you truthfully." I challenged you to do the same

How I live my faith

I got my married in the Manila Philippines Temple in 1996. My wife and I now have 4 wonderful kids. How I live my faith is trying to read scriptures with my wife and children regularly. I also listen to Church songs and I also try to do my Church assignments as best I could. I love to share the gospel to others as this gospel changed my life. It changed my life for the better. I know that since it changed my life, it would also make somebody's life better. I testify of that.
