Hi I'm Jason

I'm a Mormon. I am a member of the Coronado Ward in Las Vegas, Nevada.

About Me

I was born and raised in Las Vegas and have lived there my whole life (with the exception of attending college out of state and a 2-year church mission in Guadalajara, Mexico). I have a beautiful and amazing wife, 2 adorable children (a 4-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy), and another boy on the way. I love to spend time playing games and hiking with my family, playing and watching basketball, watching movies, playing games with my wife and going snowmobiling in the winter.

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in the church by parents who have always been faithful and active in the church. From a young age I've been taught the importance of church attendance, prayer, scripture study, and obeying the commandments. When I was 19 I served a mission in Mexico and experienced a great development of my own personal testimony. It has continued to grow as I've served in the church, read scriptures, prayed, and more. While I'm not perfect, I strive to live the gospel and follow the instructions of prophets, both ancient and modern.

How I live my faith

Being parents, my wife and I obviously focus most of our efforts towards taking care of our children. We realize that we must care just as must for their spiritual well-being as their physical well-being (if not more). That's why we do many things as a family to teach our children the gospel. A few include: * Daily family scripture study & prayer * Weekly church attendance * Weekly family home evening (every Monday night we have a lesson about a gospel-related topic then play a game and have a treat) My wife and I also have daily scripture study and prayer together. We strive to attend the temple at least once a month and we both hold callings where we get to work with teenagers in different capacities. She is a great support and example to me and continually encourages me. We feel blessed to be a part of this wonderful church and have the opportunity to serve.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

I know that any marriage with Christ at its center has a great chance of enduring. As husband and wife strive to come unto Christ, they will naturally strengthen their marital bonds. Selfishness and disputations will vanish. Love and service will increase. And they will feel an overwhelming sense of peace and joy and they navigate the perilous waters of mortal life with a united purpose. Show more Show less
