Hi I'm Kelly

I'm an artist. I love the outdoors & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born in Texas. Live in Utah. Love the outdoors, hiking, camping. Sports like soccer, basketball, football. Love the scriptures (it seems to be the only books I will read and finish). Love anything to do with art. I know how to weld, carpentry, paint, sculpt. I really want to take glass blowing and pottery lessons as well! Grew up in a broken family, but never looked at it that way! I seemed to be adopted into all of my friends families some how and came to have an even bigger family then I could have ever hoped for! I'm pretty social, though I do love to go do things by myself, helps me draw closer to God and our Savior that way!

Why I am a Mormon

Because there are no missing puzzle pieces in this religion. It's a complete and restored painting. I have a testimony of this true and living gospel in my life. I wouldn't be complete without it. I know that Joseph Smith was the Prophet chosen by God to restore this church here on the earth again. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a living prophet who guilds this church today and is the mouth piece for the Lord today. I know that Jesus is the only begotten son of our Heavenly Father who has flesh and bone. Jesus paid the price of our sins by pain of death on the cross. I know he conquered death and is a living person with flesh and bone. I know these things are true. I know that the Book of Mormon to be a second testament of Jesus Christ and his teachings. It is also a testament to the Bible. I know that if you read the Book of Mormon and follow the promptings to pray that it is true, you will find that witness that it is true. I believe that we are all here today for a reason and part of the reason is to learn God's plan for us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by continuing to serve others and trusting in our Heavenly Father's plan for us. I serve others all arounds me and share the gospel daily. I love seeing how my faith in Christ can help others build there faith in Christ.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No. We strongly encourage boys to and that's why the majority of the missionaries are boys, but ultimately it's your decision. Myself, I have served a mission and continue to serve as we speak and I'm a girl. It was my choice and because of it I am a better person. I have more faith in myself to accomplish daily tasks that I expect myself to do. I testify that I know this is what the Lord wants me to be doing right, serving Him. I love the Lord with all my heart! Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Families are so important to us because they are the center to our religion. This gospel blesses families. We believe that our Father in Heaven want us to be together forever here on Earth and in the life after death. I recently lost my Grandma a few months ago and truly believe that she is in a better place smiling down upon me right now. Because I have this faith, knowing that she is happy and with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, I am comforted and feel the love that our Savior has for me. While on this Earth we can develop our faith in Christ through love in our families. I'm grateful for my family and everything that they do for me. Show more Show less
