Hi I'm Sue Wiles

I grew up in England, I love to bake for my wonderful family.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful man, have 4 beautiful children and 3 grandchildren. I love to bake and spending time with my family. I was raised in a good family but felt something was missing in my teenage years. I was baptised shortly after my seventeenth birthday and I have never looked back.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents taught me good Christian values and as a child sent me to the local Methodist church for Sunday school. But I soon drifted away from them as I felt it didn't fulfil my needs. After reading briefly about some Churches, I read about the Church in a magazine and requested further information. In time I was contacted by the missionaries of the Church. By this time I had read some books about the Church I had obtained from the library, so I had quite a good understanding what the Church was about. The missionaries taught me the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and asked me to pray about what they had taught me, to know if it was true for myself. So that night I prayed in my room and asked if the Book of Mormon was true, was it scripture? I got a strong confirmation in my heart that it was true! Everything the missionaries taught me made sense, I learned that my Heavenly Father loved me and wanted me to return to Him. My life has been so blessed by living the gospel fully. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and along with the Bible is a witness that Jesus Christ is our Saviour. I know by living by the commandments the Lord will bless us.

How I live my faith

My faith is part of my every day life. As a family we pray and study the scriptures daily. I have given service in the Church in many different ways. I have taught the children about the Saviour, Jesus Christ. I have worked with the youth, teaching them on Sundays and organising weekly activities during the week to help build their confidence, self worth and teaching them to serve others. I have also worked in the women's organisation in the Church. Helping others has helped me to live the gospel of Jesus Christ more fully. I try to remember who I am and what the Saviour would want me to do in every situation I find myself in. Making good choices in my life not only affects me, but affects my family. So having the teachings of the restored gospel to guide me is really important to me. I was baptised at the age of seventeen and I know that even though my family did not understand my choice at that time, I have been truly blessed by becoming a member of the restored Church.
