Hi I'm Aaron

I'm a devoted husband, a proud father and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm from London, Ontario. I'm a son to two of the best parents anyone could ask for. I am also a devoted husband and a proud father. I'm a huge fan of outdoor stuff- hiking, winter sports, camping. One of my favorite experiences was hiking in the California Redwoods while serving as a full-time missionary in the California, Santa Rosa Mission. My early life was full of adventure. My family spent the first years of my life living in the country so naturally me and my brothers spent most of our time playing outside and discovering nature. Our family faced challenges but the gospel always helped us overcome them As an adult, the most fulfilling aspect of my life is my relationship with my family. My wife and my son are the greatest blessing which Heavenly Father has given me. I have learned that teaching and serving the people we love is a great blessing and part of our purpose in mortality. In 2014 tragedy struck when our first pregnancy ended in an abrupt and unexpected miscarriage. It was a difficult time for our family but with time and much of prayer we were able to find peace. That experience was pivotal in helping me have a greater appreciation for the plan of salvation, the strengthening power of the atonement and temple ordinances that allow my family to be sealed together for time and eternity. Me and my family have been blessed by living the gospel in our home and personal lives. As a husband and a father I rely on those blessings for my family

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 17 I began reading the Book of Mormon for the first on my own. As I read I felt my faith in Jesus Christ growing. It's passages answered the many questions I had as a young man growing up in the church. Life began to have new meaning to me. By the end of my reading, I had gained insights about the purpose of life, why the Atonement was necessary, and what I needed to do to qualify for eternal life. As I knelt and prayed to know if what I had read was true, I received a testimony of it by the Holy Ghost. I received an even greater confirmation that I belong to Christ's church. I feel just as sure about that today. This testimony has always carried me through turbulent times in my life for it has been the greatest source of my faith in Jesus Christ Through personal experiences as a youth in the church, as well as experiences while serving as a full-time missionary, I have come to have a deeper appreciation for Heavenly Father's plan. While our life on earth inevitably comes with challenges, it also has the potential to help us grow. All of our experiences are tailored to help us become more like Heavenly Father. My trials given me a new perspective of my relationship with Heavenly Father. Each time I have turned to Him in the midst of difficult trials, He has given me the strength to endure them with hope. I have learned that I can always trust Him. That knowledge has been a source of strength in my life, and has allowed me to be more compassionate towards others

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I live my faith by studying and applying the teachings of the Savior. I may not be able to follow Him perfectly, but I am constantly trying to improve. As I learn about the life of the Savior, His teachings and His characteristics, I am driven to want to become more like Him. I believe that the most important characteristic of a disciple of Christ is charity. Charity is the pure love of Christ and includes loving others without judgement, trying to seeing them how Heavenly Father sees them, and serving them in a genuine and compassionate manner. So much of the Savior's life was spent among those who were in need. The most noble way we can follow Him is to emulate His example of service. "A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another as I have loved you, that ye also love one another" (John 13:34) I live my faith by developing Christlike love for others and by looking for opportunities to serve Heavenly Father's children. In this way I am following the example of Jesus Christ
