Hi I'm Chad

I was born in a car in Utah. I love Pittsburgh. I am a project manager. I have 5 amazing children and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a project manager in electrical engineering. I am a father of 5 wonderful children. I have the coolest tire swing. I speak Spanish. I enjoy playing basketball and soccer; although I have no athletic ability. My wife and I enjoy playing tennis. I really want to get out of debt.

Why I am a Mormon

The church is true. I learned that for myself through the power of the Holy Ghost when I was 13 years old. I had taken the challenge to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. The answer that I received has guided every major decision in my life since that day. Here is the promise: 3 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men...and ponder it in your hearts. 4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. 5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things. (Book of Mormon | Moroni 10:3 - 5) Over time I have gained a vision of what the restored gospel does to people. The most wonderful example is watching elderly couples, retired from work. While their peers dreamed of leisurely pursuits and relaxation at the sunset of their lives, these couples have chosen to go to work for the Lord. They volunteer their time to bless and help others. They are so full of joy. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (New Testament | Matthew 7:20) Over time my testimony of the gospel has been strengthened on every aspect of the church through prayer, study, and by living the teachings that I was receiving. I have had the privilege of watching the transformation in others as they embrace the gospel and change their lives for better. I have watched their entire view of life change and joy fill their lives. 23 What greater witness can you have than from God? (Doctrine and Covenants | Section 6:23) Every wonderful thing in my life has been a direct result of my membership and activity in the church.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy studying the scriptures. In fact, if I don't study the scriptures I feel totally different during the day. I also really enjoy Family Home Evening on Monday nights...I set aside Monday nights to be with my family and teach my kids the gospel. I am currently serving as the Bishop of my ward. That means that I have the privilege to work with families in need to help them to overcome their challenges whether they have insufficient means, are facing a tragedy or other difficult challenge, or if they have spiritual needs. It is tremendously rewording spiritually. I often get to be a part of the most precious experiences. This also means that I get to visit families and we have developed wonderful friendships through this experience (although it might bring a few grey hairs). I look forward to serving the Lord wherever and however he asks.
