Hi I'm Ric

I grew up in Rossendale, i live in Chorley, I'm a husband and a new dad. i enjoy food, family, friends and sports, I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love any kind of sports really, i used to play a lot of Rugby and managed to get to play semi-professionally. I've been married now for nearly 4 years and since then my Rugby physique has gradually disappeared. We have a little boy now though, who keeps me on my toes and a little girl is on the way. I love to spend time with them, go shopping together, go to parks and see different sites around the country. I am in my final year at University, having studied Sports Business Management, and am currently considering whether or not to do an MBA.

Why I am a Mormon

As i have read the Book of Mormon, diligently and consistently prayed on my knees to know if the Church of Jesus Christ is the true church on the earth i received much peace, comfort, and clarity of thought in regards to the answer that the Book is true and that the church is true. As i have been consistent in going to church, participating in the lessons, learning and applying, i have learned for myself that the teachings are true. When i am serving in the Church i recognise that i am at my best, and it feels brilliant !

How I live my faith

I serve frequently in the ward i attend and have a lot of fun going out with other guys from the ward to visit people; also from the same ward. its great and really satisfying to go out together and get to know other people, find out about them and what they like to do or how we can help them. i love being a mormon, 'why?'......... it helps me have peace in this life knowing that i have the direction to do whats needed to be with my family forever. I'm taught about what really makes people happy. I learn how to be the best father and husband i can be so that our home is a happy home.
