Hi I'm Brett Anderson

Husband, Father, Web Designer, College Teacher and I'm a Mormon

About Me

A little something about me, I am a Graphic Design student at a local art college. I love art and basically anything that has to do with it. I love to draw and paint, but since getting into graphic design, most of my time is spent designing websites or printed material. I also love to run. Ran cross-country in middle school and high school and continue to run and keep in shape.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I am a Mormon first of all because I was lucky enough to be born in the Church. Secondly, because I at some point had to come to know that this Church was true. I could only rely on what my parents and those around me knew for so long. So just as the Prophet Joseph Smith did, I prayed and asked God if I was apart of the true church, or if I and my parent had been miss lead. Well obviously my answer was clear and profound. I knew by the way that the Holy Spirit touched my heart and confirmed the things that I had been taught since I was young. I didn't see a vision or really have any great and spectacular experience, but the Lord knew what I needed to hear and even feel to know that this is the true church. And so here I am now, still a Mormon and going strong. A huge testimony builder for me was when I was able to serve the people of South Africa for 2 years. They are awesome people and being able to talk about Christ and how he can bless them and heal them from any of the problems that they might be facing. After each lesson, or conversation with a family or individual my testimony of this gospel was confirmed and strengthened. Its something that I can never deny, and I don't plan on doing so anytime soon. I love being a Mormon, its brought so much love, joy, peace and happiness into my life and into my families life, that I can help but thanks the our Heavenly Father for all that He has done for me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the things that I choose to and not to do. I love to serve those around me and share the gifts and talents that I have been blessed with. Thankfully I was able to do that in South Africa and Swaziland as a missionary. It was a great time that i was granted to help those around me know more about Jesus Christ and His mission. Thankfully in my ward I am able to help those around me by doing what we call home teaching. In which we visit and support those that we are assigned to. And thats a short summary of some of the things that I do to show my faith.
