Hi I'm Tiana

I'm a YouTuber, a musician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am returned missionary from the Ohio Cleveland Mission. I am currently studying Digital Media Production at Boise State University. I make regular YouTube videos which can be found on my channel at youtube.com/tianamatson. I do everything from singing songs or performing some strange food challenge to trying daring stunts and embarrassing myself on purpose.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a very strong willed individual who does not enjoy being dependent upon anyone. This includes my parents for a testimony. I grew up in the church; I attended all my meetings and did what I was told but I was only going through the motions. When I was in high school my family was getting ready to move to Utah from Nevada. I was not happy with their decision so my mother challenged me to gain a testimony that what we were about to embark on was inspired of God. I took her challenge to heart and really prayed for an answer. That night I had a spectacular dream, but more impressive was the spirit that accompanied it. I sat up in my bed with a voice ringing in my ears, saying to me, "It's true, it's true." Over and over again the voice pierced my heart and my mind. I could not deny the presence of the Holy Spirit, the life, death, and atonement of the Savior, or the love that my Heavenly Father had for me. This was not a direct answer to my initial prayer but it has been an answer to so many others. Once I knew these things for myself I knew everything would be okay. I knew I was in the Lord's hands and that he would provide. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live and they are active members of my life.

How I live my faith

Until I came on my mission I was never very vocal in my member missionary efforts. I know how it feels to be afraid to jeapordize friendships or of rejection. The gospel is something, as Latter-day Saints, we hold very near and dear to our hearts; we hope those we share it with will value it as much as we do but often times do not. As a missionary I developed such a deep love for my Savior and for these people, that no matter the rejection I still try to share it with everyone I can.

What do Mormons believe happens after we die?

We believe God has a great plan for us. As part of that plan, we believe that when we die our spirits are separated from our bodies. Our bodies may stay here on this earth but our spirits enter a state of probation. Here we continue to teach and learn about the gospel and God's plan for us; until the second coming of our Savior Jesus Christ. Like Christ, our spirits will be resurrected and reunited with our perfected bodies. At this time we believe, we will meet with Christ and be judged on our actions during our earth life and receive our exaltation to heaven. Show more Show less
