Hi I'm Taylor

I'm a college student, I'm a missionary and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from the beautiful south, Atlanta, Georgia but am currently serving an 18 month mission in Idependence, Missouri. I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life. I enjoy playing and watching sports. I have raced a marathon, a half-marathon and several 5k's. I also love music and I play the guitar. I attend Brigham Young University-Idaho and some day hope to be a music producer. I also love the outdoors, including hiking, snowboarding and wake boarding. I have four siblings who are all such great examples to me.

Why I am a Mormon

For me, the gospel of Jesus Christ is about happiness, hope and progress. I know that the Savior lives and will come to the earth again. That knowledge brings me a lot of hope in the future. This life is about progress, and one reason why I love this gospel is because it allows me to progress by making covenants with Heavenly Father which makes me want to strive to be better every day. I have read the Book of Mormon cover to cover an know that it is a true book. I also have studied the principles of the Gospel for myself and know that they are true. Living this Gospel brings me more happiness and confidence than anything else in this world.

How I live my faith

I have served in several callings in several different wards. I have served as a gospel doctrine teacher, visiting teaching coordinator, a greeter, and I have helped organize events for the women in my ward. I will be serving an 18 month mission where I will represent Jesus Christ in Independence, Missouri. During my mission, I will serve in a visitor's center where people of my faith and not of my faith come to learn more about the history of the church. I am very excited and grateful for this opportunity!

What is the Book of Mormon?

The BooK of Mormon testifies of Jesus Christ and His divinity. Some form of His name is mentioned, on average, ever 1.7 verses. I have read this book cover to cover several times and I know for myself that it is true. It is not a replacement or a substitute for the Bible. We read the Old and New Testaments as well as the Book of Mormon. The Bible and the Book of Mormon actually go hand in hand and testify of one another. I know that as I read from the Book of Mormon and abide by its doctrines I grow closer to God. And how can growing closer to God ever be a bad thing? The Book of Mormon rocks! Show more Show less
